Sept. 18, 2022
CIRCONNECT partner

Biobased plastics are plastics made from renewable materials. They are relatively new plastics that, because they rely on an inexhaustible source of raw materials, theoretically offer numerous opportunities for manufacturing sustainable products. In this publication, we discuss those
opportunities and highlights challenges that designers and producers face when working with biobased plastics. Practical tools, inspiring examples and handouts are presented that make working with these materials easier.

This publication is one of the results of the research project "Design Challenges with Biobased Plastics" of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam.
